Our coaching staff takes each student through a process-oriented approach to tennis development with a focus in footwork, stroke development, technique, tactics/strategy, team building and FUN! Campers are grouped by age and ability level and the instruction is geared towards their appropriate level.
ABOUT OUR 2026 SEAHAWK SUMMER CAMPSThe 2026 Seahawk Summer Tennis Camp at UNC Wilmington will host both full day camp sessions and half day. Each camp session is designed to provide a great experience and will include a process-oriented approach to your tennis development. The Seahawk Summer Camps are for ages 7-18 (boys and girls) and tennis levels including beginner, intermediate, advanced and tournament elite. Each student is grouped based on their age and ability level. Our on-court focus will include developing each student in the areas of footwork/court movement, technique training, tactics/strategy, mental game and FUN! FOR THE BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED, ELITE TOURNAMENT LEVEL CAMPER
The Summer Camp is designed for students who wish to learn and improve their tennis skills in a fun, activity-based environment.
The beginner will receive instruction with an emphasis on technique and the fundamentals of the game. Court movement will be an important area of emphasis for the beginner.
Our intermediate campers will be exposed to a progressive training environment. Each student will receive instruction in stroke development, agility/footwork and point play strategy.
The advanced camper will be challenged in every aspect of their game. In this training environment players will quickly be able to develop their skills with on-court drills and competitive match play.
The elite tournament camper will receive training in mental strength, court movement, shot selection, shot tolerance and taking time away from their opponent. This dynamic training environment will be process-oriented.
"These Camps are neither supported, controlled, nor supervised by The University of North Carolina Wilmington, but rather is under the sole supervision, control and sponsorship of Camp Director - Hans Olsen and Camp Director - Mait Dubois.
