2020 Seahawk Summer Tennis Camp

3 Sessions of Traditional Tennis Camp for all Ages and Ability Levels

Seahawk Summer Tennis Camp is a fun-focused all-day tennis camp that provides top level instruction to all age groups and ability levels.  All sessions will be directed by UNCW Head  Women's Tennis Coach - Hans Olsen or UNCW Head Men's Tennis Coach - Mait Dubois.  Our camp coaching staff will also include college players and the area's top coaches.

Seahawk Summer Tennis Camp is a fun-focused all-day tennis camp that provides top level instruction to all age groups and ability levels.  All sessions will be directed by UNCW Varsity Tennis Coaches -Mait DuBois and Hans Olsen.  Our staff of instructor's will include college coaches, college players and the area's top tennis instructors.


All Ages and Abilities Camp

Day Camp:  June 17 - 21, 2019 
Day Camp:  June 24-28, 2019 
Overnight June 23 - 28, 2019  
Day Camp:  July 15 - 19, 2018 

Tournament and High School Players:
 July 22- 26, 2019

  • Ability Levels:  Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite Tournament.
  • Appropriate Balls and Court Size will be used for all Ages.(Including Red, Orange & Green dot balls)
  • Boys and Girls   Ages 6-18  for all day camps
  • Boys and Girls   Ages 11-18 for the overnight camp
  • Lunch provided for all full day campers
  • All meals, lodging and 24-hour supervision for the overnight camp
  • Campers receive the camp t-shirt and other prizes


The Summer Camp is designed for students who wish to learn and improve their tennis skills in a fun, activity-based environment. 
The beginner will receive instruction with an emphasis on technique and the fundamentals of the game.  Court movement will be an important area of emphasis for the beginner. 
Our intermediate campers will be exposed to a progressive training environment.  Each student will receive instruction in stroke development, agility/footwork and point play strategy.  
The advanced camper will be challenged in every aspect of their game.  In this training environment players will quickly be able to develop their skills with on-court drills and competitive match play. 
The elite tournament camper will receive training in mental strength, court movement, shot selection, shot tolerance and taking time away from their opponent.  This dynamic training environment will be process-oriented. 

"These Camps are neither supported, controlled, nor supervised by The University of North Carolina Wilmington, but rather is under the sole supervision, control and sponsorship of Camp Director - Hans Olsen and Camp Director - Mait Dubois.  All Seahawk Tennis Camps are open and accessible to individuals with disabilities while balancing the risk of physical injury to the individual and others. Participation in any program or camp by individuals with disabilities is subject to prior and ongoing review by Seahawk Tennis Camps. In order to assess and evaluate a request for an accommodation, the camp must receive notice of the individuals desire to participate no later than 60 days prior to the commencement of the applicable camp. Inquires may be directed to the appropriate camp director - Hans Olsen or camp director - Mait Dubois.
